My name is Mehtab, and I'm a Computer Science student at Queens College graduating in Fall 2025. I've always been drawn to understanding how things work and making them better—whether it's through code, hardware, or hands-on projects. I've been building PCs since I was 14, I regularly work on my car, and I've upgraded and soldered custom electronics into my guitar, which I've been playing since middle school. These hobbies reflect my constant drive to learn, improve, and solve real problems.
That mindset carries directly into my work as a software engineer. I'm most fulfilled when building software that's efficient, user-friendly, and genuinely helpful. I enjoy digging into complex systems, finding ways to improve performance, and refining every detail until it feels right. I've taken the lead on several large-scale projects, guiding my team through challenging technical decisions, coordinating backend and frontend efforts, and ensuring everyone stays aligned toward delivering impactful results. These experiences have strengthened both my technical skills and my ability to collaborate effectively, and they've shown me how rewarding it is to build something meaningful together.
I genuinely enjoy collaborating with others, sharing ideas, and working through tough challenges as a team. Whether in hackathons or structured projects, I value clear communication, initiative, and delivering something tangible and impactful.
As I near graduation, I'm looking for a software engineering role where I can continue learning, take on meaningful projects, and contribute to building software that's helpful, intuitive, and thoughtfully designed.
